The search for answers on the mysteries of life and death, about the journey we take from our biological birth to the birth of the person we become, to the various deaths of that person and their subsequent rebirths, until biological death and the eternal question of what lies ahead, is fascinating.
It´s what moves us and makes us evolve as individuals and as a species, together with curiosity, and fed by love, absence of love, happiness and sadness.
Spirituality is connected to science, and science is, perhaps, spirituality itself, that iludes us for millennia, but that also provides us with a soul and a purpose.
Art is a vehicle to our individual spirituality, and it is also a science. Sometimes empirical, sometimes (the more often the better) instinctive, but nonetheless a science, crafted inside, and absorbed from the outside to our inside, representing different things to each of us, as different as individuals themselves, but as universal as being human.
Dragon is a mythical being, that inhabits everyone´s imagination, on all corners of our small world. It is also a sign (my own) in certain parts of that same world. And it´s also a constellation, Draco, that illuminates our sky with thousands of years of delay. It´s imagination, spirituality and science. Like music.
The music i wrote for the band Centauri (Alpha and Proxima´s last name) is stripped of constraints. It blends the planned with instinct, sweetness with randomness, and it doesn´t answer to questions that want to lock it with made up words whose purpose is to make us feel knowledgeable of it´s nature. Questions i myself do not ask and whose answers i don´t want to know.
Like the universe, in all it´s unknown splendour, but that moves us everyday and makes us believe in magic that one day will become knowledge.

A busca de respostas sobre os mistérios da vida e da morte, sobre o percurso que fazemos desde o nascer biológico ao nascer da pessoa em que nos tornamos, às várias mortes dessa pessoa e seus consequentes renascimentos, até à morte biológica e a eterna questão do que vem depois, é fascinante.
É aquilo que nos move e que nos faz evoluir enquanto indivíduos e enquanto espécie, aliada à curiosidade, e alimentada pelo amor, o desamor, a felicidade e a tristeza.
A espiritualidade está aliada à ciência, e a ciência é, talvez, a própria espiritualidade que nos ilude há milénios, mas que também nos dá uma alma e um propósito.
A Arte é um veículo para a nossa espiritualidade individual, e é também uma ciência. Por vezes empírica, por vezes (quantas mais melhor) instintiva, mas uma ciência, apurada dentro de nós, e absorvida de fora para dentro, representando para cada um coisas diferentes, tão diferentes quanto os indivíduos, mas tão universal quanto ser humano.
Dragão é um ser mítico, que povoa a imaginação de todos, em todos os cantos do nosso pequeno mundo. É também um signo (o meu) em certas partes desse mesmo mundo. E é também uma constelação, Draco, que ilumina o nosso firmamento com milénios de atraso. É imaginação, espiritualidade e ciência. Como a música. A música que escrevi para o grupo Centauri (o apelido das estrelas Alpha e Proxima) é despida de algemas. Mistura o escrito com o instinto, o doce com o aleatório, e não responde a perguntas que a prendam a palavras inventadas com o propósito de nos fazer sentir conhecedores da sua natureza. Perguntas que eu próprio não faço e cuja resposta não quero saber. Como o universo, em todo o seu esplendor que desconhecemos, mas que nos move todos os dias e nos faz acreditar em magia que um dia será conhecimento.
